Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are a great way to change the size, shape and color of your teeth!
Some smiles show teeth that are too small, too big, chipped, uneven or discolored.
Porcelain veneers are a minimally invasive option to correct these concerns while giving them a clean and natural appearance. In some instances, this is done in conjunction with Invisalign or as an alternative to Invisalign treatment. Some smiles will only need one veneer and some may require more to achieve the desired goals.
What to Expect
Five appointments necessary
First Appointment
This appointment is a consultation appointment. We discuss your concerns and goals, take photographs, evaluate symmetry and decide if any additional treatment is needed to achieve these goals. We will take impressions of your teeth to send to the lab to create our desired design with a custom wax up.
Second Appointment
Two weeks later we do a test smile. The wax-up is transferred to the patient's mouth to see how it feels and how it will look with your new smile.
Third Appointment
The teeth will be minimally prepared, final impressions are taken and sent to the lab with the approved wax up for a guide. Temporary veneers will be fabricated for you to wear home.
Fourth Appointment
The veneers are placed and checked for fit, aesthetics, feel and appoval prior to being cemented into place.
Fifth Appointment (One month later)
Follow-up. We will evaluate tissue healing and final aesthetics, any minimal re-contouring needed and final photos.
